Natsha Siri is a piano instructor who is based in Torrance, CA.
Throughout her college career, Natsha performed extensively with various western and world music ensembles at UCLA, such as the Video Game Orchestra, Chinese music ensemble, the Irish music ensemble, the Middle Eastern Music ensemble, and the Balinese Gamelan Orchestra. After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in Ethnomusicology (World Music Emphasis), Natsha moved to Northern Illinois and taught music lessons to over 50 private students throughout the Lake County area. Her students ranged in age from 4 to 90 years old, and she enjoyed teaching each and every one of them. Over the last 4 years, her interest turned towards piano pedagogy, the study of the teaching of piano playing. Natsha believes that the fundamental basics of piano playing and the western theory that accompanies it help to accelerate students’ progress with their other musical activities, whether they are picking up an additional instrument to piano, or singing in their school musical or church choir. Her fun and frank teaching style keeps her students engaged, and she always tries to adjust her method of teaching to each student’s special needs.
In June 2018, Natsha moved back to Torrance (CA) to be closer to her family and start her own independent business as a piano instructor. She is currently an active member with the Music Teachers’ Association of California, and teaches over 40 students in the South Bay area.
